The XO Herbarium

Botanical plates for rooms that want something alive on the wall.

A set of botanical plates drawn for XO Botanicals: the plants behind the formulas, rendered the way a nineteenth-century herbarium would have wanted them, in black and gold, and sold framed to hotels, restaurants and the people who furnish them.

Each frame carries a small label with a code. Point a phone at it and a Field Guide opens for that plant: where it is native, drawn large and legible; where it is grown now and when it is harvested; the stories people tell about it; the wildlife it supports; what it is used for.

Room 527 designed the plates, the lookbook and the Field Guide. The plates are printed to order and ship framed or unframed. Write to the studio for the lookbook and trade pricing, or buy single plates from XO Botanicals.
